I made code that does some things! ⊙ is done enough. As a farewell to the forums, it includes every pageant theme in some respect.
The project itself is really as uninteresting as I feared. But, this being the last pageant, I didn't want to let myself down. So I finished up the code to my best ability. The end result is ridiculously buggy, and it all doesn't seem to want to work right for some reason I can't determine.
I couldn't let anyone trudge through the ~100something texts, only to be let down by what is currently showing up, mostly empty space. But, I wanted to provide
something, despite having no more time to work on this because of life [aka work and PAX]. What I decided to do is give you the source code. You can do whatever you want with it, as long as you don't call it your own I suppose [not that I worry for
my reputation, this would only be damaging
yours]. See how I formatted text, learn how to use SFML, point and laugh, etc.
As for my time on this forum, I want to say that I had a lot of fun pitching in a comment when I could, despite not being around a whole lot. The community here is full of some of the most genuinely nice people, and some fantastic developers. I found out about many of you through this site and I hope I run into your work in the future. Looking back on my own work, I'm glad I tried and had fun. But I also hope I am never a project lead.
I justify this source-only release with my interpretation of the spirit of this forum - get inspired to make things, try it out, and show everyone your progress. It doesn't have to be good, it doesn't even have to be a game. Just make something.
So here you are: I present,
something.
Thanks everyone, and good luck making more of those video games.
