Jungle Snax

Postby tyson » Tue Jul 19, 2011 10:53 pm

Hi guys, I'm working on my first indie game called Jungle Snax.

At first I decided to make it a simple 'collect the objects' casual game. Such as a cargo plane has dropped a whole bunch of fruit and you have to catch them all.
However since adding particle effects when catching the fruit it seemed more fun, and a little like Fruit Ninja)

In my latest version i've since added nice 'slice' graphics for the particles.

Although, this changes my whole game story and the flow of the game.

Should i re-work my story to suit my mechanic, or re-work my mechanic to suit my 'catch them all' idea?

Would appreciate any feedback!

Cheers,
Tyson

If the new mechanic makes the game more fun, rework the story to suit it. Fun is what really matters, after all. :-)

If it improves the game a great deal and you could still keep a lot of the old work, I say go for it!

Hi tyson, I hope you don't mind that I renamed the thread to the title of the game. That was the intention with the "Projects" forum, but we'll try and make it clearer.

Feel free to rename again if you go with a different title :)
